Home Wedi commands

Say it, I'll do it. Don't like it? I'll undo it.

Wedi commands

Type “cut silences” or “speed up 2x” into the box on Wedi's island, or press the microphone button and say it. Wedi understands, does it right away and leaves an “Undo”.

Type or speak, Wedi does it

  • A suggestion chip appears as you type; Enter runs it
  • The microphone button listens until you stop it; give several commands
  • Play, split, delete, speed, volume, subtitles, cut silences, export and more
  • Describe it: “old-film look”, “a bit warmer”, “make the sound clearer”, “documentary style”, “smooth slow motion”, “phone sound”, “wedding look”, “make the subtitles big and yellow”; nudge it half a step with the chips
  • Workflows: “clean up the talking video” does clear voice, silences and subtitles in turn
  • Ask “where is this?” and it marks the spot on screen
  • Every command can be undone

How it works

  1. Hover the island; type in the box or press the microphone.
  2. Pick the suggested command or press Enter.
  3. Don't like it? Press “Undo” on the island.

Instead of hunting through menus you say what you want. It all runs on your computer: there's no cloud AI, and your voice and text are sent nowhere.

Frequently asked

Is my voice sent anywhere?

No. Speech is turned into text on your computer and is not saved. The first voice command downloads the speech model and asks your permission first.

What if it doesn't understand?

Wedi shows the three closest suggestions (“Did you mean…?”). If none fits, what you typed is searched on the web.

Can I use free-form sentences?

For now, short commands like “half speed”, “volume 50%” or “export for YouTube”. Free-form sentences may come later.

We'll let you know when it's ready.
