System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- Screen: a window of at least 960×600 pixels.
- Disk: room for the install and extra content; the exact size will be given with the first release.
- Internet: for signing in, updates and the first-use download of extra content for some features.
- A graphics card isn't required; if present, export can use hardware encoding.
Install (once the download opens)
- Press the download button and save the installer.
- Optionally compare the file's SHA-256 hash with the value on this page.
- Run the installer; if Windows shows a warning, see below.
- Open Weditra; Wedi greets you on first launch.
Windows warning (SmartScreen)
When a new app runs for the first time, Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. This doesn't mean the app is harmful; it means Windows doesn't know it yet. The first releases may not be code-signed.
- Click “More info”.
- Press “Run anyway”.
- To be sure, verify the file's SHA-256 hash.
Verify your file
Each release's SHA-256 hash will be published on this page. In PowerShell you can compute the hash of your own file with:
